Directors whose film styles I like

1) Steven Spielberg, is a famous director who has made many popular films including 'Saving Private Ryan'(1998), and 'Jurassic Park'(1993). He is now in the process of making 'War Horse' a book by Micheal Morpurgo. I like Steven Spielberg work becuase most of his films are based on true and he use's lost of handheld camera that helps to draw the audience into the film and is a good tool for creating tension.

2) David Frankel, directed 'Devil Wears Prada'(2006) and 'Marley and Me'(2008) but has mostly worked on television programs such as 'Sex in the City' and 'Band of Brothers'. I like his films as they are very contemporary in both content and style. The fact that Frankel works in television means that he possess high production values and this gives his films an admirable level of attention to detail.

3) James Hill is the director of 'Born Free'(1966) and 'Black Beauty'(1971) both films about animals, one fictional and one non-fictional. Born Free is about a couple raising a litter of lion cubs and before setting them free into the wild of Africa. But they keep one of the cubs called 'Else' who then becomes the house cat and is loved by everyone. I like that it's a true story, I love any story that has big cats and I like the way the film is all filmed in the depths of Africa. The films muted colours give it a realistic or natural look that helps the audience to form a connection with the main characters.

   

Short Story's

This book not only contines one short story but many also these short story's arn't written by adult but by Children between the ages of 6-13. There story's were chosen by the World book day competition and and these twele story's in this book are the finalists 2007-2008. I think i would be brilleant to make a short film for children between the ages of 6-13 with the story acturally writen by a child. When I read this book a few years back i found some the story's in it brilleant and was amazed how these children came up with there ideas.

Message from MIA, Short Story

'Message from MIA' by Sandra Glover. This short story is a mistury story about a brother who's beloved sister is in a coma but 'Jack' has been resiving messages from MIA and is wondering who sent them from Mia's phone. Mia end up in a coma by falling down some stairs or did some one do it. This is what 'Jack' is going to find out. This book I really enjoyed it brought mystery and tension to me and i feel that a young audience will enjoy it. I think that 'Messages from MIA' will be a good short film becuase I can start up by getting a message from MIA when he's by her bed so stright in with the mistry and then getting the story to unfold from there one onwords.

Out of the Ashes, Short Story Idea

'Out of the Ashes' is a short story by Micheal Morpurgo. The story is about when 'Foot and Mouth' disease hit the contryside of England. This may be a fictional book but it gives us an insight into what happen to those famer's who had to cope with this tragic event and how there family's stode along side them knowing that they can do nothing to help. This story is base on one girl 'Becky' life as she struggles to exeped that she can't stop what's happening to her beloved animals so becky writtes a diary of everything that happen throught the 'Foot and Mouth' year. I really loved reading this book because it really and truly did give me and insight to a family's famer life as this awful and saddening event hit them. I would love to make a short film out of this because it would show the younger audience what I saw as I read the book also will show them a real and tragice insight to what happen that pasted year of 'Foot and Mouth' disease in the contryside.

My Story is Called 'Trapped No More'

Bitch Dir by:Dom Bridges in 2009

'Bitch' is a comdy. It has a very good opening scene to the film with the opening credits on shopping ingredents. There's Music at the Beginning and the End of the same music that is slow, lightheat and comcdic. The Narritive of the film is at the Biginning-Single man shopping, Middle-Photo of son (point of attack), the End-Reulsqtion. Casting is Binary oppusites becuse the way the man is casted and dreesed it make him look like the bad guy and the old lady look the victium when it's the other way around.

Leon, Dir by Ian Sciacaluga in 1998

I really enjoy this Docomentary on this Boy's Leon's life. Resone i enjoyed it was because it gave me an insight in to some one eles life that that i have never expirenced. It also made me feel sad towards the Leon because he never been able to have a normaly childhood beucase he's looking after his mum and younger borhters. But then again Leon is teteman to do well at school so that he can get a good cearia to give him and his brothers a better life. Leon's docomentary was a eye operner.

What is Democracy??

I think democracy is where every citizen has the right to say what they think should happen in our society instead of just the government. The right to vote for someone is exercising your democratic right to vote.
